Young Cricketers
is a professional cricket club which is currently playing in the Premier
Cricket League in Dhaka. The club is based in the Mirpur area of Dhaka
City. It is run by a group of friends and helped by other members of the
area. The club consists of players from all around Bangladesh and some
foreign players. After a disappointing showing in the Damal Summer Tournament
we picked our selves up and finished strongly in the 1999/2000 First Division
League.
We qualified
for the Premier League after finishing Runners-up in the Super League having
lost to Dhanmondi Club in the play off match.
We are
currently playing in the Dhaka Premier League. The season so far has been difficult for us, as it is the first time we are in the top flight. We finished the league second from bottom and are now playing in the Relegation league.
